International Greek Language Day is celebrated annually on February 9th to recognize the significance of the Greek language, both ancient and modern, in shaping Western civilization. Greek has played a major role in the development of many aspects of modern society, including literature, philosophy, science, politics, and religion. Today, Greek continues to be an important language in Greece and the Greek diaspora, as well as in the fields of classical studies and theology. Celebrating World Greek Language Day helps to highlight the rich cultural heritage and linguistic diversity of the Greek-speaking world. Bellow a small video with greetings from our students!
