Γεια σας! My name is Vasilis and I live in Cyprus. I got my BA in History in 2004 and then I went on doing a MA and a Ph.D. in Byzantine History, Philosophy, and Palaeography, thus falling in love with old manuscripts, their history through the centuries, and of course their content. My other passion is teaching the Greek language. In parallel with my studies and my research work until today, I was teaching Greek to students who needed extra help with their lessons. Last year I was employed by INEK (NGO) as a teacher of Greek for refugees and asylum seekers, here in Cyprus, who wanted to learn Greek as their second language. I consider this year as one of the most important of my teaching career so far, as this gave me the opportunity to meet new people, help them learn Greek, and also learn a lot from them! When I am not teaching or doing research, I love reading books, playing chess, and the last couple of years, doing landscape and astrophotography.
